Thank you for posting. This makes my heart hurt. We never used them, but I feel like so many people may leave them on at nap time. I was always way too nervous for stuff like that at nap time.
This is baby number 4 for us and for our oldest 3 Id always wanted to try them...would see them and pick them up and never buy them. I was just always hesitant about them having something around their neck and never bought them.
Very sad, so many parents ignore common safety precautions.
In addition to this people need to stop letting their baby nap/ be unsupervised in headbands! I see it on here and it’s just as much of a strangulation hazard.
I use one for my 10 year old at school he ADHD it help him consatrait I most likely spelt that wrong he has a chewing habbit but he is 10 he didn't use them when he was little rip little one and prey for his family
I never put these around there necks I ALWAYS wore them.and held them letting them chew on them that away.. I actually never knew they were supposed to go around the babys necks. The amber teething necklace I take off b4 bed
I have an amber necklace on Rylan, but it comes off for nap time, bed time, bath time and food time. It's a pain taking it on and off, but definitely worth his safety. It took a lot of umming and ahhhing for me to get one, but he's been teething badly for 6 months now and still has no teeth. 😞 I also made sure I bought it from a reputable place and it is double knotted between each bead.
This is so, so sad that this happened to this poor little baby. It all comes down to supervision and common sense with babies though.
I used the amber necklace with my daughter. Right before nap and bedtime I would put it around her ankle with a sock to cover it or put it in with her jammies. I never left it around her neck while sleeping.

I’ve always wondered about nap time and bedtime. I’ve been looking into them, but I don’t think would have leave them on for so long.

This is why I’m terrified of amber teething necklaces. Babies don’t need to wear anything around their necks. So sad.
