If contractions are close together and extremely painful, I hate when I go to L&D and the nurses tell me “come back when you can’t talk or walk through them” 😡
With my last child I was literally in labor and a nurse told me that and then I said I wanted to stay and went into full blown labor and had my daughter shortly after. Each pain tolerance can be different, I could walk and talk through labor contractions so I don’t feel like that’s a good way to tell someone to know if they’re in labor or not.

Thank you! With my second the doctor told me I wasn't in labor and that I could either go home or let him break my water or induce. Didn't feel anything for another hour and a half. Nurse came to check me an hour after that and said I wasn't progressing and to let her know if anything changes. As she closed the door my water broke and the nurse and doctor were both caught completely off guard. I refused any medication and didn't even have an iv. Well, baby arrived without even one full push much to the doctors surprise not 30 minutes after the water broke.

I agree with this 100%
I didn't feel contractions at all with my second and the ones I did, I thought were because I had to poop 😂

Lucky, when I went into labor my contractions shut my ass up. I couldn’t walk or talk I was in tears lol.
