Anything above 100.4 however tech anything above 98.6 is considered a low grade fever. Hope your son feels better! If you have Motrin I’d give that to him or Tylenol and alternate between the two. @mommy_x3,
@nerdymommyplus2, Oh no girl. The fever could cause brain damage but the seizure itself is caused by a high temp. I guess I should have explained that better 🤦🏼♀️ my bad
@nerdymommyplus2, It’s okay. I forgot what kind of seizures my niece has. I’m drawing a blank 🤦🏼♀️ but it’s definitely scary to witness! My middle son had a febrile seizure once in the middle of the night. He’s my step son but his mom called us and told us what happened. He went to bed and was fine and literally in the middle of the night had a fever which triggered the seizure. He’s not had another since and I pray he doesn’t because I see what my sister goes through and it’s honestly terrifying.
@nerdymommyplus2 this is his first day having the fever.. He seems lathargic tonight like it's hard for him to keep his eyes open, but yeah the temperature goes down but nothing less than 100

Also one of my daughters are the same as the person above.
Doesn't respond well to tyenol but responds to Motrin. ^

Awh sorry to hear. My daughters aren't that bad. I'm not sure how my mom's was. I am not sure if hers were even febrile or just childhood seizures.
They are a scary thing to witness though because there's only so much you can do

101.4 I would give medication for but.... My family has history of febrile seizures so I don't like to let theirs get high.

But it does go down?
My pediatrician always told me to only come in if it went over 103 with medication or baby was acting lethargic....
Or if it's been a few days.

If he's acting lethargic then I'd definitely call the doctor and get him in !
