😬today I was that mom. The mom you stare at because her kid is screaming in the store and can’t get them to stop. I’m done going to the store alone. My daughter isn’t bad. She is just so strong willed. She was mad because she had to sit in the cart but didn’t want to. She wants to walk but doesn’t listen well. I can wait until she talks and understands more. She is only 1 1/2 but thinks she can do everything by herself. God I love her but man is it tough some days.

Yes! I always have empathy for other mothers when I see it. Like I get you! I wish all people understood but they don’t.

Oh yeah I had to kinda make a compromise, like at restaurants my son wouldn't sit in a high chair anymore. Now hes better at listening at the store but I would instead i just sit him in the basket part of the cart, now I'm starting to get him to sit in the kid part, I tell him it's the airplane seat lol

I wish. She is ok with the basket part and I walk in front of the cart so I’m by her but she about fell out because she won’t listen and sit. 😑 I know it’s a phase but jeesh. Lol. And I feel you with the restaurant thing. She won’t sit in a high chair, or a booster, and she has to have her own drink that’s from there or else she will drink yours. Lol she could care less about what we bring from home. Also you can’t help her. She must feed herself with adult silverware. Lol I like the airplane seat idea if only she would buy it.

Girl this is my life. My daughter is 2 and she doesnt want to sit in the cart she wants run around free and not listen. I dont even look. Aroudn me anymore cause i know People are definitely looking at me 😒

If only. Nope. She is stubborn when she is mad she is mad. I tried a toy and snacks and even pickin something put. Nothing. She just threw stuff.

We have all been 'that' mom hun. No one ever said parenting was easy. When my kids were toddlers, I'd make sure I had a snack cup filled with Ethan goldfish crackers or small graham crackers.

Been there with TWO kids . At some point ya just gatta be like FK IT. Being a mom is hard and if people are judging ? They can kiss an ass . Sometimes ya gatta go to the store yourself and ur kid isn’t really listening ... it happens.

Yes. Eventually it will all pass. I can’t just stop my day Just because the kids are misbehaving. We needed food for dinner! Lol

Have you tried using a harness? My daughter was like this as well and I used a harness to give her room to explore but within a safe distance.
