I've completely cut sugar out, including any white refined food like white breads and pasta, as it turns into insulin in your body like sugar does. I'm on virtually a no carb diet, if I have any carbs it's brown rice occasionally. Lots of water and as much exercise as you can do, even going for walks with the kids
