I am all for disciplining a child, but to say you’re going to wash your child’s mouth with soap just because they aren’t listening and talking back is just way too much... the thing I see on this app sometimes 🤦♀️ makes me sad

My mom used to say that to me but never did it.. One day i wondered how bad of a threat that could really be so i took a bite of the handsoap in the bathroom ( i was probably 5 or 6) and learned real quick that I hoped she'd never follow through 😂😂

Lol yeah my mom too! it’s not the first time I hear about mother’s doing this but that’s soo harsh and in my opinion it’s abuse , I actually saw a video of some mother doing that to her son and recorded everything, she was later arrested for child endangerment. It’s sad and I’m surprised moms these days are still willing to do that

There's really no excuse for using these old fashioned methods of punishment. Not in this century.

I honestly can’t even say I’d do it to my kid ... cuz jus picturing holding his head in place as he tries to squirm out of my hands and me shoving soap in his mouth is actually making me tear up

I remember when my kids dad told me he used laundry detergent in my son's mouth and asked if I was okay with that! I flipped out and said no not even the least bit. Put him in time out... And it was for them misbehaving not even swearing or anything. Then my kid came home one weekend and said his father's wife got bars of soap and both boys have their own and it goes in there mouths when they're bad. I was crying like that is child abuse and you are straight fucked in the head! Clearly what I say doesn't matter if it's not my house hold. I hate it!!!!!
