@mom211n11 oh okay thank you so much !! You've already helped me so much ♡♡♡
I know Monday I was already dilated to 3cm and this coming up Monday is when I get induced so I'm hoping I'll already be 4cm so I won't have to feel much of the contractions lolol I'm a big baby when it comes to pain and I think that is what scares me the most is feeling the pain because everyone tells me it's the worse pain I'll ever feel. Lol & this is my first baby so I have no idea what or how intense it will be.
But thank you so much again ♡♡♡ I really really appreciate it!! ♡♡
You're welcome hun! You can do it I know you can. It's different going in labor because your body goes with it. You have the epidural need be. I'm glad to be of help! Anytime hun! ❤
@dessiboo you are very welcome! I know what you're going through! I'm so glad I read this and this article was actually what happened with me so it was spot on! 😊❤
@mom211n11 you're awesome !! :) I'm about to read it after I take a shower. I know my OB said I'll get started on poticin and then get the epidural and then they will break my water. I'm not even sure exactly what poticin is lol I know it's like the hormone that you get when your in labor but will it produce contractions??
@dessiboo yes pitocin is the synthetic form of oxytocin. Induction is tricking your body that you are in labor so the contractions can be pretty intense as the whole goal is to get them strong enough to dilate your cervix. I wanted the epidural but knew my back was not able to handle it due to problems a long time ago. I didn't know I only had Stadol (like morphine) for pain relief other than the epidural. I could only use that up to 7 CM because it can make baby too sleepy. I honestly can tell you I gave up at that point and had no choice but to manage the pain in transition (8 CM-10 CM). You'll be good with your epidural! You won't feel much with the real low 2ML they will most likely start you on. When they break your water you should be at least a 4 CM. When you're at this point they can do the membrane sweep and then break your water bag. This is where the contractions start getting more intense and you'll keep leaking fluid and maybe your show with the more intense contractions. This is dilating your cervix. I hope that helps hun! Reading the article and then being educated while being induced made me so much more knowledgeable about what was going on. Ask the nurses any questions. I went in a Wednesday night at 10 pm. Got registered in ER and started Pitocin at midnight. Increased 2 ML every 30-1 hr at first then 30-15 minutes. At 9:30 am Thursday my doctor came in and broke my waters. Had baby at 3:30 pm that same day. But....this was my third baby so IDK if it's like that for everyone. Just let your body do it's thing. If you need to get off your back tell them!! I did around 7 CM because my body was saying get off your butt and on all fours to help move the baby down! Well I had the urge and did! Felt so much better and started feeling "pushy" and was 8 CM. I remember with my first with the epidural feeling the pressure and knew when I needed to push. Sometimes they gave to let you know with an epidural as you don't always feel the urge. Cheering yiu on mama! You can do this! ❤
