I need some advice. We have 4 dogs which we love dearly but with the baby it's a little much. I can't pull myself to part with them since they are also like my kids. Scooby was our first dog and then Shaggy. We got Daphne when we went to get a dog for my brother in law and I couldn't part with her because of how badly she had been treated it took 2 months for my boyfriend to be able to touch her without running away. And we got Baby Jynx who is Shaggys brother. We got them from our neighbor who has more animals than common sense and he was on the verge of dying so we took him in. I tried giving Daphne and Jynx away but couldn't find anyone to take them. And since we are living with his family at the moment it's a lot. Scooby stays in our room and the rest have doggy crates. But I feel terrible that they have to stay locked up since they were able to do whatever they wanted before we moved. I need advice I dont think I can pull myself to get rid of them
Temporary until new years and then we are moving in with his grandmother in a bigger house the house is going to ours whenever she passes
This is a situation I can relate to. I have animals as well that we had to make a difficult decision to get rid of. We had the PERFECT dog too. It broke our hearts so much to put her into another home, but it benefitted my family more than keeping her. There will be a time when you and your family will be in a better place to get another dog or animal. It will be just as sweet as it seems now. You guys will enjoy them more rather than contemplating their existence in your life’s. That is what I had to tell myself when it came to getting rid out our fur babies. One of which my husband and I picked out together YEARS before we had kids. It was heartbreaking, but in the end it was the best.
Keeping them all doesnt seem fair, but I do understand not wanting to part with them.
Is living with family a temporary thing, or is it long term?
