This is growth.⁣⁣

In 2016, I hid from the world, friends and my family. I wasn’t ready but God said I was. Motherhood wasn’t supposed to happen so soon for me but it did. I went through so many emotions while pregnant - fear (terrified of not being a good mom, other people’s thoughts, walking out like my own mother, just so many layers of fear 🤷🏽‍♀️), depression, uncertainty, disappointment, loneliness, acceptance, forced happiness🥴, joy, confusion, and so much more. ⁣⁣

Photos may seem beautiful and they can be but the reality behind some smiles hide many real emotions that we sometimes aren’t sure how to handle. ⁣⁣

Now, almost 2 years later, I’ve eliminated most of those negative but human emotions and have added excitement, laughter, true happiness, optimism, and I’m tired ... all the time 😂. These photos show my growth as a mother and as a person. Every day isn’t easy but every day is worth it.⁣⁣

This little ball of fire is one of the best things to happen in my life. She’s teaching me so much. [Lately, the lesson has been patience🤦🏽‍♀️😂] ⁣⁣

Most days, I just let her be and I’m realizing that the greatest lessons can sometimes come in the smallest package. ⁣
