The answer may depend on your cultural heritage. For some it's at birth, for others it's much older or never.
My parents got mine done at 3 months and even now 26 years later I have problems with them. They weren’t done right and now I have chunks of cartilage stuck in the piercing. I can’t even wear earrings if I wanted to now. Please wait until she’s old enough to say yes or no.
@asehlabo, in the end it’s your choice since she’s your child. I just wanted to share how having my ears pierced as an infant messed them up. There’s risks with it as there is with everything. I stopped wearing earrings as soon as I was old enough to say no I didn’t want them. So not only did my parents waste the money on them it messed my ears up for the rest of my life.
@db413 I'm more enlightened, I guess I didn't even think of risks involved😱
@asehlabo, I know it’s cute and adorable. Just take some time to think about it please. And as other have said. If you choose to go through with it. Call piercing and tattoo shops who do it professionally for a living. Much safer route.
Old enough to consent and be talen to a reputable piercer. Most won't pierce ubtil they can consent
After the 2m shots I believe. Many pediatric offices do them now.
