I’m seriously beyond depressed. My fiancé was layed off a few weeks ago and has not been able to find a job anywhere, we’re behind on bills, can’t get Christmas presents, then today my truck blew a spark plug out which is $100 to fix so now we have no transportation which means I have to miss our family Christmas party 2 hours from where we live for the first time ever, also makes finding a job 100x harder without a running car. Can’t take kids to their dr appointments or anything now. I seriously feel like giving up. All I’ve done is cry today and become farther and farther depressed. It was bad enough we couldn’t get the kids presents now we can’t even see family or job hunt I don’t see how we’re ever going to catch up if he can’t find work or a way to get there. We have literally $0 idk what to do. I’m done.

Go on Facebook. The local buy sell trade groups for moms. I know in my local one, I always post things for free rather than sell. Some other moms do too. There might be some toys that another mom is giving that you can take. Or even make a post and ask if any are having their kids go through their toys to donate to good will, if they could give them to you instead? Im sure some moms would help! Or even share your story and ask if anyone knows of any charities still giving out toys—- some moms might even offer to help! Just an idea. I know it doesn’t solve your other problems, but it can be something!
Could you try local churches or something? I'm sorry I hope he finds something soon.
Try Marine Toys for Tots. Go to their web site. They should have a date and time that you can go to a place to pick up toys. You do not need to register.

@kandaceteresa, that might be for the nonprofit registration. There should be a section below that for the open house distribution day. For us in Pittsburgh Pa it’s on December 14th.
@kandaceteresa, when my husband was a temp he had to try like 5 different places before he found a job that would work, but he worked hard and was only out for like 4 days. Keep calling agencies!
He wasn’t there long enough to claim unemployment 😞 that’s the downfall of temp jobs
Also.. you can call your Medicaid if your child is under one they will help with diapers and food and other things just have to ask him if they have a program
Call the back of your insurance card they should be able to help with transportation for the kid's doctor appointments. You just have to ask them do they have transportation.
Do you have a family member that can help you get around until you get back up which you will get back on your feet.

For my family I just made them all baskets with some of there favorite thing. And baked cookies for my cousins..
The only family I have near by is my sister and her husband was just diagnosed with MS and was let go from his job so they’re in the same boat as us pretty much except they don’t have kids so they don’t have the money to help, I’ve tried calling several places in our area for donations etc but get told it’s too late etc but I’ll keep trying I guess
Could your fiancé donate plasma? It isn’t much money, but it’s better than nothing when things are really tight. I’m sorry you’re having to go through this, I cannot imagine!! Don’t forget to go to social services and file for food stamps and cash assistance or TANF.

I would if we could but we both have bad credit and no income there’s nowhere that would give a loan without income and good credit history

Yes my family doesn’t have any either anytime I’ve brought it up it either gets sloughed off like oh well or I get well I don’t have it either so idk what to tell you. I literally have no help. Idk what to do seriously. Like this is the first Christmas we haven’t been able to buy ANY presents my kids have no christmas this year. I feel horrible.

@kandaceteresa If you have social media such as Instagram you can be able to make money online by working for Appen. It's a legit company that pays $10/hr. I worked for them for a couple months but quit since I have a FT job. Look them up you and your fiance can do it.
