Proper starting to worry about Allaiyah still not wanting to sit up. I'm constantly encouraging her to do it but she gives up after a few seconds. I've read stuff on Google and now I'm really worrying 🤦🏻♀️😭

And as for Google... just don't or you'll panic over even more things you didn't even know were a potential issue. Personally I'm not worried re Chelsea sitting unaided until she gets to around one. Then ill look into things more xx
@colls2018 I know anxiety doesn't help either. And Allaiyah won't move in her walker but loves to stand up. Like alot of the time when I try to sit her down she will stand up 🤦🏻♀️xx

I think we always second guess ourselves (I know I do) even without other people's opinions lol. So it doesn't help when you are given snidey remarks. You will learn to shrug them off though. Or say something sarcastic back. Depends what mood I'm in. Both of mine hated tummy time. Probably did it a couple times max. They still learnt to move and stand then walk. Max didn't crawl until 2weeks before his first birthday. Didn't think he was going to. Eventually they don't stop walking and talking and we miss the days they just laid there 😂 She's finding ways to move about in her own way which are all good signs she's doing well so try to ignore them.
I know you hear this all the time but she really will do it eventually. I have looked after plenty who still weren't sitting by around 9 months. I looked after twins who weren't sitting at 9 1/2months. Their now 3years. Walking talking no stopping them. Max never learnt to roll over as a baby. Never saw him do it once! Haha but one day he was pulling to stand and I guess he can do it now. Just not sure when he learnt to because it wasn't the 1st year 😂

I'd say, she's hardly going to be going off to school not being able to sit, walk and talk. They all end up doing the same so in the great scheme of things it really doesn't matter. Then walk off lol. Obviously as parents we always wonder when they will do these things and encourage where possible. That's our job. I don't have much time for people that judge or make everything a competition. Probably why I don't have many conversations with my oh's sister's 😂
@sara-lou86 They just make you second guess everything your doing. I've always said that I'd never force her to do anything. She hated tummy time and I would encourage her but if she started stressing I'd stop it straight away as I didn't want it to be a bad experience for her 🤷🏻♀️ Now she's happily army crawling rolling over and always on her belly 🙌 just going to try ignore them now

@srose1989 She army crawls all over the place and spends time in her walker and door bouncer too. She just gets upset when I try to sit her up by herself. I try but when she starts getting upset I stop as I don't want her disliking it even more x

@srose1989 Doesn't help when everyone is always going on at me saying "Oh so she's not sitting up yet" makes me feel like a proper crap mum xx

She army crawls but just hates sitting up. I try and try and try but she refuses and throws herself back 😭 xx
@megan-leigh, honestly don't worry and just enjoy every second! She'll do it when she's ready don't go by the books or anything beaut as it's only a guideline but baby's don't follow a damn book haha! And every baby develops different and at different times xx
I wouldn’t worry, she’ll do it in her own time hun. Have you got a sit up ring for her, that really helped with Eli xxx

@megan-leigh, Eli did at first I wouldn’t worry and he sits fully unsupported now, it took him a while until he found his core balance, he still chucks himself back at times. You’re not doing anything wrong. People put age limits on baby developments when each child is different and they all develop at different rates. I wouldn’t worry just keep trying with her, you’re doing great and she’s beautiful xxx
@elijahsmammy but she's been doing it from like 5 months and she's now 8 months. That's why I'm starting to worry. Doesn't help all I get from people constantly is 'oh so she isn't sitting up yet'. Like it's my fault 😭 I try with her but if she starts getting upset I stop as I don't want her to see it as a bad experience if you get me xxx

Megan try not to worry. I'm in the exact same situation as you with my little girl. She's similar in age to yours and will be 9 months on December the 9th. Chelsea rolls and army crawls alover the place when playing around on her mat, gets around in the walker but still can't sit up fully unaided. Annoys the hell out of me when people keep saying "oh gosh she still can't sit up on her own?... so what! Poor little babbas have so much to learn at once. I'm sure they will both get there soon 😁😊😉 xxx
