My husband and I find our son’s grandfather situation rather amusing.My father was absent in my life and we’ve only reconnected for the past 5 years on and off but ever since my son was born I have been pleasantly surprised of how an amazing and loving grandfather he is. My son loves him and my dad spend lots of time with him. On the other hand my husband grew up with his father , he was a very important figure in his life and the best dad in his words but not so great of a grandfather. Months past by and he doesn’t ask about him or sees him. His excuse is that he’s busy but he has time in his hands,this we know. My husband didn’t think it would be like this, it makes him sad.

Trigger. Lost baby
Went in for my 20 week check up and found out our son had passed away. Nothing was wrong, my pregnancy has been going great. I'm so numb right now. I'll he delivering him later this week. I don't want to do this. I don't want to do this. Not before Christmas. How am I'm going to tell my kids?? My dear sweet baby boy. Why did this happen?

My husbands dad is a devout Baptist preacher and doesn't call but once a month and never speaks to the kids. He doesn't like kids. You would think it'd be different with him being so Christian and leading a congregation. It's painfully obvious when they meet during our once a year get-together that he just tolerates them. His grandkids hardly know him. My dad, on the other hand, isn't my stepkids real grandpa and yet has a better relationship with them! Funny how life is.
