Poll for BOY moms....did you have your son circumcised? YES or NO? This is not a debate or "make my point right" question lol. Well nvrmd go ahead this app is kinda slow tonight lol
We did it. If there’s a chance your son might join the military, then I would consider circumcising him. My husband was in the military and some of the uncircumcised men in his unit got infections while deployed because they couldn’t bathe often enough. Some of them ended up getting circumcised while they were in and said it was awful and they wished their parents had just done it for them when they were babies. We also know a little boy that had to be circumcised at age 4 due to infection. Not everyone has issues like that though. It’s entirely up to you!
SO is circumcised, our son is not and I’m pregnant with a boy now who will also not be cut. My SO only has sensation on 20% of his penis due to his circumcision. The other 80% of his penile tissue is numb. There are so many risks and the procedure itself is excruciating and unnecessary. No son of mine will have to endure it unless he’s old enough to consent, be put under for the procedure, and be given adequate pain relief during recovery.
Both of our boys are and if this baby is a boy he will be as well.
Yes both boys! Best decision we made, but my nephew is not circumcised. I watched both my sons circumcision and they both didn't cry at all. I recommend if you get it done get the ring it falls off within 5 days no bruising or anything. My boys were in no pain afterwards.
Yes and I will for any more boys I have.
Not my penis not my choice. My son isn’t circumcised, I believe it all comes down to making sure your SO/DH teaches your child how to clean their penis correctly. And let’s be real until they’re old enough you as a parent are cleaning them anyways so unless you don’t know how to keep them clean they should be fine.
I don't discuss the appearance of my children's genitals. I don't know why anyone feels appropriate doing so.
Mine 2 are and this one will be.
I didn’t, my sons dad isn’t circumcised so he was kinda against it. I do know that if he doesn’t learn to clean properly he’s more susceptible to infections but both his father and I agreed to make sure that he is well educated on the importance of cleaning himself properly I show him every time he showers and as he gets older his dad is going to take over because it’s easier for him to explain the importance because he deals with it on a day to day himself
I did, and will do it again if I have more boys
Thank you ladies for all the great input. I asked my husband what he thinks about it if we ever have a boy since I'd let him make the decision & just wanted some other views. From personal experience, family, hygiene and research we decided our son will have it done. NOW SEND ME SOME BABY BOYYYY DUST!! Cause if I have another girl you're gonna see my last post going crazy lol 😘
Yes I did and I’m glad I did. My brother has always struggled with infections & now that he is 5 years old my mom regrets not doing it when he was born.
@kingstons_mommaaa when he's like 1 or 2 or 3 or 4? Lol (Inside joke)
Yes I did we went and got ultrasound today and this one is allllll boy do it’s definitely another boy and he will also be circumcised
I did! & I sat through my sons. They put him under warmer to keep him nice and cozy, they gave him this stuff that produces natural endorphins for pain. They swaddled his arms to keep him still. It was quick and he barley cried. Within a week it was healed! I will do it again if I have another boy.
@doubleksmommy, he had it done before we left the hospital at 2 days old. I think it’s best to do it early. It’s something he will never remember. & as a mother I was terrified I thought it was going to be the worst thing ever but watching actually made me feel so much better it was nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be or as bad as people make it seem.
@diazalexia25 yes def the younger the better I hear. This made me feel a lil better thank you
That’s how my sons was done but no warmer. My obgyn did it but they did make sure he was swaddled warm and cozy she said he only cried whenever she touched the paper she laid on him lol other than that he slept and he was also healed within a week
Yes, and will if this baby is a boy
Absolutely! We will again if we have another boy. I did however, let it be my husband’s decision based off of his personal experience.
Yes I’ve done it both for both of my boys. My nephew had complications and had to get it done at the age of 5.
We did our first son & will our second son as well! I see it more of a health issue it healed within 5 to 7 days😊
We did and we plan on doing it if we have anymore boys!

We decided not to circumcise our son that’s just our personal choice
Following still debating weather I should get our son done when he's born.

Is this rude? Lol
