What can I do for my 6 week old for constipation his poop hasn’t been hard but he also hasn’t went poop for a entire day now last night he was passing gas and I really thought he would go but everytime he started pushing he was screaming. Other then warm baths leg movements belly rubs I’m at a loss on how to help him gas drops help him a little with his belly.

Girl it happened to me with every kid I brought each one of them to the dr at 6 weeks thinking something was wrong 🤦🏽♀️
At 6 weeks is when breastfed babies stop pooping daily I wouldn’t worry
It is uncomfortable to do but when we did it to her she wasn't even phased by it and it worked. Hopefully he finds some relief
When my daughter was around that age my Mom used the tip of a thermometer in her butt to stimulate. The poop arrived shortly after.
They were gonna do this at the hospital because he didn’t have his first poop until day 3 literally minutes before she brought the thermometer in there 😂. I feel so uncomfortable doing that though😩 I just want some relief for him though.
@alyboo102293 it's completely normal for breastfed babies not to poop for days. Even a whole week with no poop. Gassiness could be something you've eaten that may not be agreeing with his tummy. Around 6wk, some babies stop the multiple daily poops, or just the daily poops...

Mommas I need advice. Kynton gets a super bad rash when he poops. From one poop and maybe 45 seconds of him being in that diaper turns his butt bright red and blisters. We only use Huggies and Pampers diapers. Could it be disposables that do this? The gel stuff mixing with his poop that creates the rash?? And should I try a few cloths to see if it helps? What can I do for my son?! His belly must be hurting him. He’s been passing gas a lot and I’ve given him gas drops. That only helps for a minute or two and then he starts screaming again. I do the whole thing with his knees to his belly and rubbing his little tummy and that only helps for a few minutes too. He’s only two weeks and three days.
