Ok so I exclusively breastfeed my 8 month old and my period has never returned. I would like to start trying for our next baby as it took us 18 months to become pregnant with our 8 month old but how do I do that with no period lol is it even possible?
Anyone become pregnant while nursing with no period?
Thanks for the responses ladies! What prompted this post is I have very regular mucus changes down there (if ya know what I mean) every month. I get a surge in libido and thick creamy mucus between the 12-18th every month. I noticed this 3 months pp and started tracking it to see if it was regular or not. So far it is. So I thought maybe somehow I am ovulating but not menstruating. 🤷🏻♀️ maybe I’m cray cray!
Mine never comes back until 2 months after I dry up but there are theories that you can space out feedings or once she starts on solids more regularly, sleeping through the night etc. I researched it extensively when I was nursing my daughter bc I wanted to have #2 sooner rather than later. Nothing worked for me but I wish you luck!!
Mine didn't return until 14 months after I had my son. I exclusively breastfed him. I breastfed until he was two but had regular periods after he was 14 months old. We started trying when I was still breastfeeding, got pregnant the first month. So it's definitely possible, doesn't hurt to try before your period comes back, maybe you'll catch that first ovulation period.
My period did not return till my kids weaned from nursing anywhere from 12-15 months.
A general rule of thumb is you don’t ovulate without a cycle. That being said you can ovulate RIGHT before your cycle returns but doesn’t happen that way for everyone.
