One year ago today we had our first appointment with a fertility doctor. We had been trying for 17 months and had already done all the testing and were told our infertility was unexplained. So ready to start our family we decided to try our first IUI in January. I started the clomid and went back to check and see if I had any good follicles. I had two so it was time to do my trigger shot. On January 31st at 18 months trying we had the IUI done. This TWW was the hardest since we knew this could actually work and we could finally have our baby. February 14th it was time to have my bloodwork done to check my hcg levels but since I had all these test lying around I decided to see if my second pink line would show up. It did! Of course I still couldn’t believe it so we waited for the blood test to confirm. I went first thing in the morning thinking we would get a call by lunchtime. We didn’t. I waited all day for my phone to ring (making me not very productive at the office but oh well) I was beginning to think we wouldn’t get a call that day but just as I pulled in my driveway at 5pm my phone rang. The voice on the other end said congratulations your pregnant. I had never been so happy in all my life! Finally I could give my husband the little bibs that had been hiding in my purse for months that said “daddy loves me”. I don’t think we will ever have another Valentine’s Day that will top that one. We know have our perfect little blessing in our lives. All the waiting, the trying, the tears seem like nothing now when we hold our sweet girl.

After our appointment on December 5, 2017 my husband and I decided to get lunch at PF Chang’s before our two hour drive back home. You can see our fortunes from that day in one of the pictures I posted. If that wasn’t a sign of great things going to happen I don’t know what is.
