We had to pay the penalty. Depending what was the amount on your lease. Ours was full month payment. Plus we lost our security deposit. 😡 we had to move out because our stupid neighbors downstairs were complaining a lot, like I mentioned in other post they called with a noise complain when we weren’t even home. It was an old man with his wife (who had cancer) who lived on the farm their all lifes
Every lease is different. You need to find and read your copy of the lease.
Me and my fiance just did it 3 months ago. Our water heater broke also our basement flooded because one our basement windows were busted out and he didn't want to fix them. We left 6 months before the lease was up and all we lost out on was the security deposit
I did and had to pay the remainder of the lease. Something in the apartment was making me sick, I think it was mold from a hot water tank leak but not sure. At the time I didn’t know how to go about getting it done right since I was young but I found out later that I shouldn’t have had to pay to get out.
depends on your reasoning, how long you have left and the terms to break your lease that are stated on the lease.
I broke a lease last year with an apartment complex bc they refused to fix my oven and my bathroom sink kept leaking and they wouldn't reimburse my water bill OR come fix it. and with that, i broke my lease bc my tenant was refusing to fix these things and i had the right to do so. i also only had a month left
Yes. Shit happens. Alot of people dont do that because they dont got the money.your under contract to stay as long as u signed for.now that u wana leave .u have to pay double the rent and then u can go. But makesure u speak to ur manager so they can sign a paper with u stating that your leaving early on this day and you know your paying more for breaking the contract
