I take all my great condition baby things to once upon a child .
Once upon a child sells strollers and car seats all day long . But I guess you really just have to trust the buyer , and the seat to do it’s job.
It’s actually against OUAC’s franchise regulations to sell used car seats bc of liability issues, that’s why most resale children’s stores won’t
My car seats never been in an car accident nor have I . And I got them about a year ago . Perfect condition.
Car seats shouldn’t be sold after original purchase. I think it might actually be illegal in some states.
As far as I know it’s they cannot have expired or been in an accident. If you take them to a fire department they can makes sure they’re intact and still alright to use.
@jhalsted1995, there’s no way to guarantee they haven’t been in an accident, and even in a fender bender where they’re still intact they require you to replace car seats. There can be unseen damage.
@sarahbethk, when buying a used car seat you have to trust the seller.
And I would never offer any baby item if it wasn’t baby safely or harmful.
