I really need recommendations for therapy dog training. One that helps with seizures and things. I cant seem to find anyone

Hes almost 2. He is border collie blue heeler and beagle mix. How would I know if hes capable for either?
I'm nervous because of these seizures and I have a little girl who is almost 2 as well
@dpinkpixie10, you’d have to take him to be evaluated somewhere. I’m in Canada so I’m not sure exactly how or where you would do that in the USA. It’s not cheap tho, I’d look into resources around you it may be possible that with your medical condition you’d be able to receive funding for it or to receive a therapy dog.
Are you wanting a service dog? Or an emotional support animal? They’re both very different and have completely different rights.
Well I have seizures now but I also need him for support
@dpinkpixie10, it sounds like you need a service dog, but not all dogs can become a service dog. They go through intense training in order to help their owners. If you have an ESA, they can deny you entry to places. I’m sorry I can’t be more helpful. I’m not sure where/if you can take a dog you have for that type of training. The training can take 1-2 years before they’re ready. I’d look into seeing if you can qualify to have one donated to you. There are programs where people who cannot afford to buy service dogs can get them for free.

Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
Again not all dogs can be trained for this. How old is your dog? Not to disappoint you but the chances of your dog being able to be trained as a therapy dog is not likely, it’s possible you could do emotional support animal usually that isn’t too difficult but your dog would have to be approved.
