Question is it possible for your SO to have postpartum depression?
Yes! There have been articles out regarding studies which have proven men also get hormonal and physiological changes which can lead to PPD. Seek help for him. It can lead to lack of bonding, depression and more.
Yes it is. Your partners life changes when you have a new baby. There’s obviously no hormone fluctuations but depression for males after birth is a real thing.
Maybe not post partum depression but he could be overwhelmed with the new baby and just feeling anxious especially if this is your first.
It is my first baby but he already has a child from a previous relationship.
Not sure about that but I do know that they can have everything else during pregnancy like cravings mood swings ect.
Okay, He’s been in his feelings a lot lately I guess I need to show him some attention as well and not just the baby
@leshain18 yes ma'am. Try to include him in the positive parts of a new baby. It's logical to feel in the background when the baby is there. So maybe after the baby goes to sleep try and watch a movie or something of that nature.
Yes they can get it! My midwife even brought it up to me, letting me know that PPD can happen to fathers too!
