Hey Yal! Any mommies have advice for traveling with a new born? We are wanting to take a trip but are unsure how soon would be safe and not miserable with a new baby. How long of a drive would be okay and if flying is an option and for how long! Thanks in advance!

Not sure if this really helps but i gave birth in another state then had to drive back home with her when she was 1 week 2 days, it was an 8hr drive (without stops) and she was fine. I BF her before we left and when she woke for the first time it was when we had stopped for food/gas. I had a manual pump & pumped around the time she would wake up & gave her a bottle and she was good again. No fussing at all. It turned into a 12 hr drive due to car issues and a tow truck but she was asleep for 90% of it (thank god) Not sure if it’s recommended to drive that early but we needed to get home and she seemed to not mind at all.

When my daughter was 10 days old we went on vacation to Florida. It's about a 13 hour drive normally. I still say it was the best and easiest vacation with her!
