How soon do you start planning a baby shower? We didn't have one with my son, no family or friends around to come really so we didn't. Would like one with this baby. What week should you host it too? And what about a gender reveal? Didn't have one of those with Henry either.

You wanna wait to start planning a baby shower after you find out the gender so, 20+ weeks. It's deal to host one between 28-34 weeks. That way you aren't uncomfortable and can enjoy yourself and get anything you still need that you didn't receive from your shower.

I started pinterest planning asap, then talking to my two best friends for help at about 16 weeks. And I sent out the invites this month even though it isnt until January because of the holidays so people have time to plan!

Ours won't be around any holidays I don't think. Probably not till late April/early May. Should I send out invitations a month early still? Just to be safe? I'm currently looking at Pinterest and saving both girl and boy baby shower ideas.

@rariszoo, I would do at least 30 days early especially if your friends and family have kids schedules book up fast

Theirs no right or wrong time to plan. I’m having my 2nd baby and I’m already figuring out a date and I’m not due until the end of May. I personally like having my baby shower a month and some change before due date because it allows me to wash all clothes and to get organized and to do returns or exchanges if needed. I also just had a gender reveal and I’m 3 months. Do what your heart desires don’t let anyone tell u how u should do it
