Had a post taken down on another app because I don't understand a naming trend and asked for name recomendations not including said naming trend because I'm not a fan. Apparently it's now offensive not to like a certain set of names. Who knew? 🤷
I don't get it either. Henry's only got one middle name, this child will only have one as well. I saw a kid with three middle names once and I'm not sure how he's going to make it through government forms where you have to put your middle initial in the form. Which would he even choose. And if you pick the wrong one he could have serious troubles getting things done all because his parents just had to be extra.
I completely understand my daughter has about 10 little girls in her class and they all have the “ley” or “Leigh” at the end we always get them confused.
There are a lot of names i just absolutely hate 😂 most of which are very popular. Lol
Same here lol! You get so much shot for not following name trends too.
Madison, Madeline, Rory, Chase, Clark, Jade, Grace what type of name you are looking for do you want your kids to have the same first letter?
@rariszoo, here are some H names that I seen if you change your mind Havana, Hayden, Hallow, Hayes, Halston, and Horizon.
@doubleleos hubby doesn't want another H name, he says he'll mix them up. Anna's a little too common and we have a step sister named Anna anyways so we couldn't anyway lol.
Everyone in my town in the past two years has named their babies with the lee/Leigh/ley names. Honestly I don't like them either. I'm the only one who didn't with my daughter/soon to be daughters with it. So I guess when my kids start school they will be the outcasts. But its better then being like everyone else. (I'm from a very small town btw)
@xoxochelsey we just have a son named Henry right now. Not sure what this one is yet, but theyll likely get an older name too.
@rariszoo I love the older names that's why I picked Olivia. Hubby picked Aubree. But I told him aubs name had to sound good with Olivia. Idk why but I wanted their names to sound good together lol
@xoxochelsey It flows better when you have to call both of them for something when the names go together! I totally get it.
No one is entitled to an opinion anymore. 😒
Right? All I did was try to save people the trouble of suggesting names I already knew I wasn't a fan of.
@rariszoo the trends are why I like classic names. Everyone is naming their babies with the same style or unique or over the top. My thought process was, "What are pretty names you don't hear anymore?" I think they seem more unique anyways since no one uses them anymore. Ex. Thea, Alice, Penny, Rosemarie etc.
@bigsisfinallymommy exactly. I don't want my kids to to be the third Huxley or Braxton in his class or the third Novalee or Brynnleigh. I currently have a son named Henry, I'd never actually met anyone with the name so it fit for us. We've considered Adelia, Amira, and Weston as possible names so far.
I mentioned I wasn't a fan of the tacking lee/leigh/ley to the ends of names. Like Maxley, Brinleigh, Novalee, Carileigh. Since it's been a popular trend this year and I was looking for lesser used names for this year. Apparently people got mad I wasn't a fan of that style of name.
@rariszoo, I agree. I don’t like it either.
@bigmama18 apparently were not allowed not to like a naming trend. I'm not a fan of most of this year's.
Some people get so mad if you don't like their naming trend they used for their kid I guess.
@rariszoo, people get so bent out of shape about everything anymore it’s crazy

I hate the double middle names, like pick one, you only do double names for your own sake there's zero other benefit. There I said it.
