My 2 week old is killing me with this schedule he has going lol. He’s supposed to eat every 3 hours at like 8,11,2, etc. well almost everytime I’ve fed him, he wouldn’t eat the amount he is supposed to (he needs to eat at least 35ml. He would only drink 20.) so I decided to let him tell me when he was hungry but I’d only let him go so long until I woke him up and fed him and he started eating 50-60ml. But this three everything off. He wants to eat like every 1-2 hours. I think maybe a couple times he didn’t eat for 3-4. But idk what to do. Should I make him wait until his supposed feeding time or should I let him tell me?

Theres times my son will eat every 30 minutes, especially when he’s going through a growth spurt. If he’s hungry feed him, he’s probably cluster feeding as well.

I’m no expert but the nurses told me to feed on demand and make sure he eats every two hours 2 ozs. I kept a strict two hour schedule and/or fed him anytime he wanted since they are young and hungry. I think you should be flexible to her schedule it’s their bodies

Once baby is back up to birth weight, we were told to let them take the lead. They’ll tell you when they’re hungry. I’ve noticed that if I try to follow a feeding schedule or wake my baby up to eat, she just gets irritable. She doesn’t understand a schedule. She just knows when she’s hungry.
