So this is a bit of a rant or rather I feel as though I am complaining without reason. Me and my husband make a decent income but every time I look at the bills as a whole I stress( about 3800a month) it seems like a lot and we have been in tight spots before but as he says we manage to get by Everytime so when I ask him what are we going to do he simply says we will manage. It drives me nuts that he has no actual plan as to how
@caffeinechaos : I don't think it's so bad. I know people who have incredibly chic lifestyles who are debt free making only $15 an hour in expensive places because of proper planning and frugal spending until they got to where they needed to be. We can all do it if we really put our minds to it. But we all think differently and get to our place of contentment through various paths; all unique to the individual. I wish you all the best! What do you do for a living if you don't mind my asking?
@caffeinechaos : Well, I hope things keep going well for you and that you have a brilliant future ahead with your family.
My boyfriend does the same thing. He always says " Don't stress I always make it work don't I.?" So he tries not to let me know when we are in a tight spot cause he knows I stress like crazy. But it drives me nuts cause then I have all the what ifs in my head
I know when we are in a tight spot bc I am the one calculating the bills
My husband is the same way. He lets me know that everything is gonna be okay as usual. In my mind, I wanna have a game plan and follow it.
That would drive me to the brink of insanity. We are planners and hubby is even stronger in his "rainy day" planning than I am. We keep well below our income and don't make even as much as your bills run since I am staying home. Once I'm back to work it'll be different but our budget doesn't change no matter what the income. Then when we want to do something big we can and we have a few months covered if God forbid anything happens. We don't live big but we don't live like paupers either. But not planning at all can come back to bite you in an emergency. Hope everything continues going well for you.
