So ever since Eliana started almond milk she would prefer to drink milk over eating.. She still eats but not like she used to, so while I had Josiah at the doctor yesterday I asked their doctor what she would recommend.. She told me to cut her milk intake in half and sometimes I "just have to be hard and just let her get hungry without just giving a bottle each time she wants it" while I agree with this to an extent I don't at the same time! On one hand I don't want my baby setting here crying for a bottle because she's hungry and that's all she wants but on the other hand I want her to eat food too cause she's lost a little weight.. She went from eating ALL THE TIME to only taking a couple bites here and there, have any of you ladies ever went through this with a almost 11 month old??

@mommy_x3, good luck myb that’s all she needs is the vitamins n that’s why she’s losing bc she’s not getting her vitamins and minerals

@alishap1212 maybe! And that's what they say.. But my baby loved food that's why she got solids 🤷
I know this may sound weird or it may be wrong, but when my son does it (he’s been doing it since he turned 9.5 months) so I just mixed his milk with baby food since he didn’t want to eat and all he wanted was the bottle. I did try the same thing your pediatrician recommended to do with Eliana but it just didn’t work but I’m not going to let my child starve because he/she just wants the bottle so I just mixed he’s baby food into the milk and he started to gain weight again. Btw he had lost a good 4 pounds so I did that and he gained it back.
Yeah eliana has lost 2 lbs 🤦🏻 I've tried mixing formula into her baby food and she won't take it like that... I may try again at lunch time cause we have so much formula that's just setting here..
I would still give her milk just less at a time and keep offering her favorite foods
@mommy_x3, dang! I still can’t get kooper to eat more than 4-5 ounces at a time only time he eats 6 is at bedtime
@mombie. Eliana would only take 3-4 oz when she still took formula.. She just started drinking that much since she started almond milk
My oldest was like this and still acts like this some times. It is hard, i know but if i didnt refuse him his milk when he needed to eat then he never would have ate.. I would only give him his cup only filled half way with milk rather than it be full.. Qnd i wouldnt let him hqve his cup at qll within qn hour of dinner time thatcway he wouldnt get full on a drink and would eat.. Eventually we gor him out of the habit of only wanting to drink and eating better.
That's what I done this morning was only filled her cup halfway and I made eggs for breakfast and I gave her sips while she was eating... Unhappy can't even explain how she felt lol she was furious!! She ate not much but a little more than usual.. Finally I just gave her the milk cause she wouldn't stop crying 😩
@mommy_x3 have you tried hiding the cup from her til she eats and when she slows down then offer her a few drinks?
@hbowen2018 no i may just start giving her a small bottle and then feed her and then give her a couple more oz of milk after.. I feel like she never gets full when she just wants milk
@mommy_x3, she needs more than Vitamin D if she’s not drinking formula. I highly suggest a nutritionist if things are that bad. Of course she’s losing weight because she’s not getting what she needs from food, not because of a lack of intake. Her body cannot get what it needs from solids.
@laniejay thank you! I'll call the doctor's office after lunch hour and see when I can get her in to see a nutritionist
Opinions on hungrier baby milk? My girl is drinking well over 30 oz in 24 hours. I tried her with water inbetween feeds but she just won't settle in till she has milk as she's hungry not thirsty. She's awake like 18 hours a day 😭
I can't take it anymore! Haley (yes my 1mth old and no I wasn't able to go through this "joy" of nursing my older daughter, Molly) has been screaming non stop for 6hrs! All she wants to do is eat and I can't have her attached to me all day, everyday! She has wanted to eat every hr on the hr for the past 3hrs! I put her in her room so I don't scream at her but I just can't take it!
is it wrong to be frustrated that my daughter acts like she can't do certain things with out my help. she plays dumb a lot and I wish I could be like no girl show what you know. she acts like she can't trace or match shapes so shes ask for "mommy finger" to help her so I barely hold her hand and she magically can do it but if I dont hold her hand she just scribbles and acts like she doesnt know

I just absolutely love some women on here! Some woman wants to write on another women's post telling her she shouldn't be having sex at all in the beginning of pregnancy. I didn't know she was her doctor. Then she wants to tell me that the first trimester is only 1-9 weeks pregnant. And she lost her baby at 4 weeks pregnant due to sex. Like sweetie that's your period starting!
We use that vit d bc I’m breastfeeding but have you looked up there other vitamins for infants that have everything they need not just vitamin d
