Ladies I need help I dont know how to do hair. Both my boys have long hair I dont want to cut it. Any ideas on simple hairstyles for boys that I can do. This the best I can do with their hair which doesn't last long. PPPLLLEEEAASSEE HELP
Def practice braiding! I sucked lol but now I’m good and can even braid with my super long nails. My son is older now so he he wants all these extravagant styles lol and so do my daughters but when I need to do something quick I just give them a quick 2 braids or 4 or 6. Once you figure it out it’ll be super easy and quick. My kids all have long hair so braiding is a necessity in this house. Watch YouTube videos it’ll help. Box braids are also super easy and you don’t need to know how to braid on the scalp really to do them, would look super cute on your boys!
@mrsgates15, aww there’s nothing wrong with that! My mom used to let us all rock the Afro unless we had a special event to go to. I can’t wait to see my sons hair texture and start growing his hair out! I love to get creative with the hairstyles
@jaidensmommy I feel your pain but see you can do plaits I can do it a little but there not tight. Omg and my parts suck lol. It's gone be hard but you will get better and better with time.
@mrsgates15, I’d let her give it a try if I were you, maybe they’ll like it better the way your mom does it. When I first started braiding my nieces hair I had to give her snacks and toys to play with, now she’s used to me doing her hair. It could take a little time to adjust
I’m in the same boat!
with boys it’s pretty much twist plats or braids 😩😩 My sons hair is very fine and curly so any style doesn’t last but now I just plat his hair and it will last a couple of days. I can’t braid to save my life lol then I have a baby girl on the way so it’s going to be hard
@babymamamoore Another question. Ok my mother know how to braid really good but I don't know how they will do because they are use to my mil doing their hair should I give it a try???
@babymamamoore, Lol ima try that's all I can do practice makes perfect or at least better lol. My mil use to braid their hair she just stopped. I have mixed feelings about it though cause when she did braid their hair it would be thick convict braids but it was braided. Now she not braiding it and I feel some kind of way like wwhhyyy you stop.
They’re adorable! I think those twists are perfect, but do you know how to do box braids? It’s not too hard to learn, and if you get some practice in you could work your way up to corn rows. Bantu knots are also a really good protective style for kids as long as they’re not twisted too tight.
