Just looking for some advice its a bit of a long one but my health visitor has been round a few times for the baby but she has met my 4 year old and on one the visits she mentioned about a few things he does.. walking on tip toes.. very energetic.. big tantrums etc..which to me hes just a very energetic boy his dad always has loads of energy aswell so never thought anything of it but she said about doing a questionnaire to see if he fits the spectrum for autism So when we did it she said he does and she will refer it but I looked up signs of it and he doesn't seem to fit any! He is such a social child loves being around other kids and plays nicely etc I'm just confused on how he hit the spectrum and wondering if anyone else has had a similar situation and what the outcome was? My little brother was the same when he was little but he didn't get a correct diagnosis until he was at least 10. He got diagnosed with ADHD first and then later it changed on his statement to Aspergers! There are some telltale signs but everyone is different :)

Really?! That must have been difficult! She said to me she wasn't sure but it's around 18 months from referal to diagnosis! But looking at signs I would say if anything it would be ADHD not autism its so confusing! Xx

@charlotte_eve94 I would say don't worry, but always worth getting checked out :) a lot of diagnoses start off as ADHD or ADD, but honestly if he is on the spectrum the earlier the support the better :) loads of people seem to have hang ups about the spectrum but it's only brought more understanding to my family and our friends, plus where everyone told us my brother wouldn't have a "normal" life, he ended up going to college and university, getting a masters and starting his own business and he is one of the best people I know :) support these days is a lot better than it was 10 years ago as well :)

i finally let him do it I finally let DF throw away my foundations. He says I look better without it. He said he hates seeing me cover my face with make up when I can just wear mascara and eyeliner. He says it makes me look fake and he said he's not saying it to be mean, hes saying it because he cares. Im glad he's real with me. He says I have natural beauty. He says he doesn't like it when I dye my hair or wear make up because he loves my natural beauty. I know some girls feel as though that they need make up but they don't. Make up to me is just to do it for fun and sometimes when I feel insecure. Hes the only man that has made me feel beautiful without my hair straightened, without make up on and in my baggy clothes. I can burp in front of him, I can do weird things in front of him, etc. He has taught me so many things in the last (almost) 3 years and im so grateful for him. He taught me how to make pork chops and steaks, how to play some videogames, how to make white rice, how to budget, etc.
