So after I have this baby I’m wanting to get on birth control. I’m almost certain I don’t want any more, but I’m only 22 so I’m not ready to get my tubes tied. I’m still young and 5 years from now I might decide I want one more. I’ve tried the pill and the depo shot. I hated the depo, it made me gain A LOT of weight and made my mood swings CRAZZZYYYY. I honestly don’t see myself keeping up with taking a pill every day with a toddler and newborn. What birth control do you recommend? Preferably one that doesn’t have a lot of hormones, and definitely one that won’t make me gain weight!
Get the Nexplanon in ur arm I’m 22 almost 23 with a 2 month old almost 3 month old son and I don’t plan on having more because me and my son almost died
I’m sorry to hear that! I already have a 2 year old boy and as much as I want a little girl, I think 2 boys are enough for me so I don’t think I’ll be having any more. My luck the third will be another boy
@tylersmommy11116 : We are considering a third and hubby has already accepted that we will most likely have another girl. He said the same as you but girl. I believe his exact words were,"You do realize I am destined to be a girl dad". Lol.
My husband is willing to get snipped when we are done bc it's easier on them with fewer risks. And if you want a baby down the road it's an easy reversal or extraction. I hope you find something that works for you!!! I am grateful I will never have to take Bc Again. Stopped in 2013 for medical and person beliefs and my body finally got on track. I feel so much better. I got myself back!!!
I absolutely hate birth control but we definitely don’t need a third. We have kind of talked about him getting snipped as well but wasn’t sure if it was reversible like getting your tubes tied!
@tylersmommy11116 It is easier with fewer risks. I def recommend it. My friend's husband just got it done and was back to work the next day.
@itty_bitty : There are risks for any surgery and the decision should not be taken lightly, but as far as comparisons men having a vasectomy are at less risks than a woman who gets her tubes surgically removed statistically. Thanks for mentioning.
I used the patch. Xulane. You change it once a week stays on through showers swimming everything never had a single side effect out of it
I was looking into that one but all of the horror stories about it makes me so nervous! I was also looking into the kyleena but I’m scared about either of them implanting somewhere they shouldn’t be
I suggest IUD. Non hormonal one- paragard. Best birth control ever.
