Yes just because I work from home and I’m a stay at home mom does not mean in an way my house is always clean. Matter of fact the laundry is always going. Staying at home doesn’t always look picture perfect reality is it looks like this. Whoever needs to hear this today it’s ok to let the laundry go a day or 2. It’s ok you spent more time chasing your two year old to get in the bath 🛀 then you did doing the dishes. It’s ok you sat down instead of vacuuming because you just got done cleaning up the dogs 🐕 10 stuffed animals 🧸 insides. It’s ok to not be cleaning every second of the day. It’s an unrealistic expectation to have to do it All , All the time.

Honestly I have explained it. My s.o. Has explained it. Even my step kids mom has explained it.. She does not care. Everything is only about her.
Thank you for sharing. Having this battle with my mother in law. Currently living with her bc we are down on our luck and pregnant unexpectedly. I have a 2 1/2 year old. And 4 step kids ages 2, 3, 4, and 10 that I'm with 75% of the time bc their mom works. And I'm a high risk pregnancy with a child that might not survive. And yet I'm expected to do everything.. In her house. And when I do anything at all it's never good enough or done wrong or not done in a "timely manner". I cannot do it all all the time. I need time for me and only me.
You do need time for you. If you don’t take care of you first. Nothing will ever get done. I think you need to explain that to her.
Thank you so sharing. I used to work part time so I would keep my house a lot cleaner then it is now that I’m working full time. Even back then tho it was never these perfect organized clean homes you see on social media and it would make me feel like a piece of shit wife. So I appreciate you sharing this to show us that normal is ok 🥰
Yes my home is never perfect and the one day that it’s all clean it’s a clutter mess the next day. I just think of it as it has a lot of love. One day all the kids will be grown and everything will be clean because I’ll have no one to pick up after. So enjoy those messes while you can 🥰

You can always tell the first time home buyers by the fact that they clear the walk and driveway before it stops snowing, and clears off the cars before doing the driveway. It’s supposed to snow until 3pm. Not sure why he’s cleaning everything at almost 8am. Schools are closed, no one’s going anywhere today
