My sister in-law is trying to induce labor (yes she’s full-term) she already took two tables spoons of castor oil, she tried sex, and nipple stimulation and nothing. Any ideas?
lucky. It can be really dangerous!. It can cause baby to have a bowel movement inside her and swallow it and get an infection. Some babies have not made it because of this. Tell her no more castor oil!!! If she's full term, she hasn't got long anyway.. She's come this far, only a little further to go.

She needs to walk and do some squats... I had sex and walked and did squats on Mother’s Day and @ 11:30 that night I started to lose my mucus plug and going into labor and my water broke at the hospital. Tell her stop with castor oil I heard horrible stories about taking it and plus what’s the rush

Wait for baby to be ready. If baby isn’t low enough, and he body isn’t ready, nothing will happen. Castor oil may have done nothing that she knows of, but can be very very dangerous. Being full term she doesn’t have long left to wait.
Baby will come when baby is ready to. Taking castor oil cause you're tired of being pregnant is extremely selfish. Nobody enjoys third trimester, the swollen feet, aching back (I have degenerative disc disease and a herniated disc which is extremely uncomfortable and kills the feeling down my right leg), the overall discomfort of being round. Lucky for her shes big in the winter, I had 2 pregnancies in the summer and it was horrible but I'd NEVER be so selfish and careless to take castor oil and allow for a possibility for my baby to die. If you cant deal with pregnancy then how are you going to deal with having a baby? That's ten times more difficult and exhausting... no easy way out of being a mom. Tell her to suck it up and wait.
@chasinghappiness it's all over the internet what do you mean?! Just by looking up is castor oil dangerous during pregnancy. The FDA claims this to be EXTREMELY unsafe for pregnant women. She went off of what she heard from other people. Like I said "they did it and perfectly fine" is a bullshit answer. They used to believe cigarettes were great for your health and alcohol didnt hurt the baby and people said the same nonsense, but they did it and they're fine. Before doing something like inducing labor how about doing very thorough research and speaking to OB? Did that ever cross her mind? I truly hope that baby is fine and her foolish mistake isnt a costly one. Also she only had a couple of weeks to go, if she was in any true danger docs would have already induced her.

She didn’t fucking know calm down. This happened LAST NIGHT! It’s over now. Relax she not still drinking it. After the very first comment of someone saying it’s dangerous we looked more and found more information. The absolute only reason I’m still here is because people were being judgmental. We can be done now
I hope in the future the baby is perfectly healthy and she will do thorough research about anything she doesn't know is 100% safe for her infant. You're on baby number 3 and you're her sis so I hope you will help her be the best mommy she could be. Damn, I really hope the baby will be ok
I will add that inducing isn’t always a more painful way of starting labor. As long as they start the medicine off slowly and monitor the severity of contractions then it isn’t always a nightmare. I was induced with both of mine and my labor with my son was so amazing and not what I feared. With my firstborn they upped my pitocin way to much and I was in a lot of pain, they realized how high they had it and once they turned it down it was smooth sailing. People forget that they are paying their doctors for this help, don’t be afraid to put a foot down.

@chasinghappiness telling her shes lucky she is big in the winter isn't judgemental... its really is horrible to be pregnant in the summer. And I'm just telling you that being a mom is fucking hard and you have to suck it up and sacrifice. It's extremely difficult not to judge someone who took something knowing the potential danger is the death of their baby. And using the excuse "I know people who did it and are fine" is absurd. You said she looked it up before she did it and did it anyway, that is selfish and careless.

@vvrobinson, before taking it she looked it up and it didn’t say anything about it killing babies otherwise she wouldnt have taken it. People that have taken it and getting their advise on it was the only thing that led her to taking it. Literally NO ONE told us it may kill the baby. She’s not a damn monster. This is my 3rd pregnancy and I’m now hearing about it. Women are still recommending it. How would women know it’s dangerous? You don’t have to tell me that being a mother is hard. You can relax 🙄
