To circumcise or to not circumcise is the question..... hubby doesn’t mind either way and says it my decision

It kinda seems like you decided not to because it could have been done before you left the hospital

It's better to get it done to avoid possible infections later and some men have to get it done when they are older because of an infection. Babies don't remember and it barely phases them

Honestly so many people think that uncircumcised boys and men get infection more common then circumcised and that’s definitely false. I feel like no matter what is all boils down to general hygiene. If your bathing regularly and cleaning yourself then you won’t get an infection. My two sons aren’t and neither is their dad. I have nothing against either or but do what you feel like is best

If there’s a chance your son might join the military, then I would consider circumcising him. My husband was in the military and some of the uncircumcised men in his unit got infections because they couldn’t bathe often enough. Some of them ended up getting circumcised while they were in and said it was awful and they wished their parents had just done it for them when they were babies.

The people who think it gets infected on a daily 😂😂 being sarcastic lol are the people who have never dealt with a uncircumcised penis before.

My sons are 6 and 1 never had any problems. Been with my fiancé for 10 years and never had any infections.

Heres what I'm going to say.

Do your research, and go from there. The things they say about ones that stent circumcised isnt true, as long as you keep it clean it's fine.

I chose not to, his dad isnt and I saw it as unnecessary.

When they are born, its intact and you would clean it like your cleaning a figure tip. More than likely it wont retract naturally on it's on until puberty.

My husband is and so are my boys it looks better and i don't see why you would leave the extra skin on. Tbh My ex wasnt circumcised and i hated it ( when ut came to sex) he never got a an infection or anything but it just looked like a turtle neck lol sorry thats what it reminds me of

I was unaware of the infections associated with them uncircumcised penises 🤭 I know many men who aren't circumcised... whoa, that came out wrong, but, you know what I mean right? Due to the anatomy of the erect penis, sex shouldn't be any different whether snipped or whole.... like I think the problem may have just been ole boy @cmjohnson3047

Doesn't matter to me one way or the other, I know it's done a lot because of religion, however, I've never seen the point of it... but then again, I don't personally own a penis

My son is the first male on both sides of the family to stay intact and he’s the only one without penile issues. His dad (my SO) has severely numb penile tissue from his circumcision. His son from a previous relationship has a buried penis from his circumcision and will likely never be able to have penetrative sex unless he undergoes more surgeries as an adult. In my opinion, a POSSIBLE infection that can be treated by an antibiotic is less severe than possibly screwing up a penis so bad that it might never be able to do what it’s supposed to if you know what I mean

If getting infections was an endemic problem wouldn't the male genitalia have evolved? Leave babies the way they are born. It has a function and a purpose. Cleanliness seems like the most absurd argument to support genital mutilation. But I am Australian, it is not a cultural practice here. But it is exactly that and not medically necessary. In the event that it is medically necessary it would boil down to basic hygiene practices.
