I feel so bad & helpless for my daughter & her acid reflux seriously At a loss 😩
We bought those two days ago! Tonight will be the 3rd night giving her them!! I hope they help. Nothing yet.
@saleena, it takes time like 2 weeks to really get in her system. I’d also go dairy free if you haven’t
I would find a different pediatrician and ask for another opinion.
Have you tried change your diet to see if it changes anything? Mine had horrible reflux and colic. We would be up all night with her crying. She was struggling on gaining any weight. She was perscribed Zantac and her first pediatrician wanted to increase her dosage. We found another pediatrician and we ended up having to formula feed my daughter. After many trial and errors on which formula worked for her. We ended up finding one she liked. By 8 weeks, my daughter was like a brand new baby. She drank milk, her reflux had decrased dramatically and eventually it was no longer an issue &’ colic had gotten better. She drank Similac Alimentum ( Ready To Feed ) until she was 1 years old.
I haven’t changed my diet yet. I don’t eat dairy as is only did while pregnant. I’m going to definitely look into a good diet for breastfeeding. I know this sounds bad but idk where to even start.
@saleena, its okay girl! youre a first time mommy. im still learning, probably will forever be learning. hopefully you figure our a solution soon. Wish i could be of more help. i didnt breastfeed for long.
I’ve heard some people having great results from the chiropractor relieving colic /reflux issues.
I’m sorry! It’s awful and can be so painful for them. Her dr needs to prescribe the Zantac to at least see if it helps, she shouldn’t have to be suffering because of it
I agree!! He said he won’t until month 4/5 since she isn’t losing weight. But she is in pain. Why does she need to be in pain.
@saleena, that’s so frustrating! And such a tough position to put you in when her pedi won’t help..
My daughters dr put her on Zantac after the first discussion of symptoms, she was only 2 weeks old at the time as well!
@modom16, I’m definitely calling tomorrow!! The spitting up I can deal with but her in pain I can’t. Makes me wanna cry lol!
@saleena, wow I am surprised! Maybe get a second opinion, it is painful for them my son spent a lot of time crying because of it. Have you tried cutting dairy out of your diet if you’re having it?
@michellemybell09, yeah I think I’m going to call tomorrow for another dr. And I don’t really eat much dairy. But I’m definitely going to pay attention now & make sure!!
@saleena, yeah sometimes they can have a sensitivity. Hopefully you get a better answer from another doctor!
Gerber probiotic drops helped my son a lot and cutting out dairy and soy
