This is a serious pet peeve of mine! 😒😒😒
My boyfriend’s 17 year old sister starting referring to my daughter as her godchild out of the blue and I’ve never once asked her to be and I know for a fact she knows that she’s not her godmother . I’m so tempted to tell her please stop calling her that. Am I overreacting ??

I would correct her! I get annoyed when friends call themselves “Aunt” or “Uncle”. So I get it!

If I had a good history and relationship with her, it might not bother me so much.. but if certain others who make me wanna rip my own head off, pulled that shit, I'd speak up on it. Especially if it's being spoken as sarcasm. Nobody needs that kind of negativity around them or their family.
