Opions much needed... Idk if I should go back to work, my fiance makes enough to support the family but soon hes about to get full custody of his son from a past relationahip, he just turned 2. How many of you went back to work or just stayed being a stay at home mom. I love being home with the baby but it can get tough sometimes not getting out like my fiance can..

I think it all depends, I work because I love what I do. I dont need to work he makes enough to support us but I love my job. I also dont think I could stay home, I honestly think I would go crazy. I love my kids don't get me wrong but going to work is my me time but then again if I didnt have a job that I absolutely loved it would probably be different.

Мама дочки (1 год), беременна (21 нед.)
I work part time by choice. I personally was more depressed staying home when i was on maternity leave. I only stayed home for 8 weeks. I’m guessing it was partially PPD. &’ I tend to put so much pressure on myself when it comes to things i feel like i need to do. Taking care of baby, the house, my SO, being a good hosts to people who came to visit us and baby. I literally put myself on the backburner. And was running on empty. Going back to work gave me that needed break that i refused to give myself. I was able to breath and just relax. Work itself is not easy, but i have breaks, and lunch. Which sometimes i didnt do when i was at home. There was just too many things i wanted to get done. The drive to work and back home gave me time to think. I was able to socialize with other people which was an added bonus. It was also nice having a paycheck coming in ☺️
I will most likely continue to work as long as we have the extra pair of hands to babysit our daughter and future kids. Although i don’t think ill taking up a full time position any time soon. I am off 3 days a week. &’ Work only 29 hours every week ☺️

Yeah i totally understand. My SO did the same thing. We fought constantly. Have you talked to him? Let him know you need his help. You might want to have that conversation before he gets full custody of his 2 year old. That will be more added to your plate.

his son was in his moms care but she messed up and lost him so now hes fighting to get custody. I want him to because now that I hace my son I couldn't imagine him being away from me. Hes a wonderful dad just wish he did a little bit more and I think he'll be better when he gets older bc he can play with him like he does his son but when their baby's dads have a hard time dealing with it and the crying bc they just dont lnow what to do the don't have that instinct like moms do

Мама двоих (младенец)
Being a working mom was hands down thee most stressful thing I’ve ever done. I did it for 2.5 years and I was constantly being pulled in a million different directions while trying to juggle everything and please everyone. Luckily my husband’s new job allows me to stay home. Staying home is so much easier for me. No daycare drop off and pickup. No having to call into work when daycare is closed or your child is sick. No dragging your child out of bed very early in the morning so you can make it to work on time. No having to try to explain to your boss that your kid comes first. No having to deal with daycare trying to tell you how to parent. When I was working I only saw my son 2 hours per day and the rest of my night consisted of trying to keep up with chores. It was a disaster. I’m so grateful to be staying home now even though it can be a little isolating. I’ll deal with that component so I can be a lot more relaxed. Then eventually I will go back to work so I can continue to utilize my degree and do what I’m passionate about. But for now, my passion is my kids. It’s entirely up to you though! Everyone’s situation is completely different. That’s just my experience.
