@hakunamatata09 Yea I have dental insurance. An that was my plan to pay what ever my insurance don't cover. An wow I hope I can get a good payment plan cause 200 a month is good. Do you still have them in?? An I also wanted to ask about the colors are we able to choose what ever color we want an will they numb the mouth before starting the procedure??
Aww ima be too anxious to wait lol. An Ohok I use to always wonder what where the rubber bands for but always thought it was cute. Oh ok see I thought it was more of a pain but if it's just a soreness I'll be ok. Do the Tylenol helps with the soreness?? My thoughts on biting into apples is like feeling a hard grind going up under the braces lol sounds painful ima eat all soft mushy foods until I really get used to it. Like potato salad as in mushy wise so it don't sound disgusting lol. How does the payments work is it pay everything all at once or do we get a chance to setup a payment plan?? @hakunamatata09
So it all depends. Do you have dental insurance? Most insurances only cover like 1,500 and the rest would be out of pocket. I didnt have insurance at the time. So I gave 2k down and paid 200 a month for a year...my braces, total cost was 4,200
@hakunamatata09 So when they evaluate you do you get the braces the same day?? An 3 hours seem like a lot but I know it'll be worth waiting for, Ok a week not too bad to go through the pain but what do the rubber bands do?? An is it optional to get the rubber bands?? How would you rate the pain for the first week of getting them from 1-10 ?? An when you say 3 months of discomfort do you mean you just wasn't use to them being there or pain wise??
No you dont get them done all in the same day. You have about 2 appointments before you actually get them...it all depends on your teeth, rubber bands are usually used to "pull' so like for me it helped pulled my overbite back. It's more of a soreness rather than an excruciating pain. The first weeks i say a 6 or 7..not to bad. also you can take like advil or tylenol if you're in pain. Also I wasnt really able to bite down on apples. Its weird. idk how to explain lol. You cant "bite"as hard as before.
Yes I want to know the pain tolerance like a rating of it, how long does it take them to put them in, do they cut the inside of your mouth when you first get them an do it closes up the gaps from teeth you've gotten pulled from bad cavities in the pass?? Any answer will help thank you for even asking 😊 @hakunamatata09
Well first they will evaluate you, they get xrays and moldings. I had an overbite on the top. I had no spaces. Just basically the overbite. I had to have 2 teeth pulled on top, I believe when I first got the braces it took about 3 hours or so. It will be painful for the first week. You have to get used to it. Most cases you will have to use rubber bands...and I would go every 4 to 6 weeks to get them adjusted or what not, the first 3 months I say where a little rough. But afterwards I was fine. Everytime you get an adjustment you could be in small pain or discomfort for the first day or 2. Nothing big though.
@kambam Oh wow that sounds better than getting the braces on then having to keep going to get them changed out I know a lot of people say it hurts but I really want some so I can have healthy strong teeth.
