Focus. I found that if I lost myself in the pain it seemed to last longer and feel worse. If I focussed my mind it felt controllable. The contractions were by far the worst part for me, the actual pushing felt like a relief.

Try to remain calm, and focus on your breathing, that what helped me.

I had both my girls 8 pounds and 8.4 no pain meds. I just put on music to listen to and distract myself. I also used the tub to sit in the warm water helped. I also kept telling myself if I got through the last contraction then I can get through this one. That the pain means that my baby is 1 step closer to being here.

I researched a lot 😂👀 when i found out i was pregnant and I've constantly seen around that midwives recommend you drink 1 c. 1-3 times a day of red raspberry leaf tea during the second and third trimester. I wouldn't drink any herbal teas without consulting your doctor first and do your research. Tastes fine tho. That and exercise. Internally I am filling up my tool box with coping mechanisms. The ocean/waves relax me, I'm gonna listen to opera and classical because it helps excite me but at the same time it makes my body sing and relax. Also, im going to birthing classes for breathing techniques and positions. I believe mental preparation is key. None of this will guarantee a natural delivery but i think it brings me closer and its kinda fun.
