Ladies!! Question my son has been having diarreah for 3 weeks maybe a little over.. he still eats well, acts normal.. he crys often but hes always done that. Took him to the pedayrician. She said he might be lactose, took him off whole milk. And drinks almond or lactose toddler powder milk. Hes poop change a bit but not much.. it's either gooey like a discharge gooey with poop, Chalkie off green smooth or just plain watery. I'm starting to worry, like I said he still eats like normal and drinks like normal as well acts the same. Should I just take him to the E.r to get him checked for a stomatch virus??

Wouldn't hurt to check, and they also check to make sure he's not dehydrated

His pediatrician did say his poop doesnt look normal. And if diarreah didnt stop after no diary for a week. She would need to take stool samples.

My daughter occasionally has liquid poops. She’s about your sons age and I’ve never been concerned. Baby poop is funny sometimes. It doesn’t necessarily mean anything is wrong. But if it’s hurting him that’s a good sign it’s actually diarrhea & something is wrong.

My son has been having the same poop for over 3 weeks. He gets really bad rashes from it even if I change him often..I feel so bad!!!

@coffee.leggings.target see cant really say hes in pain, because he whines it's normal and hes always been a baby/toddler that cries. It's hard to tell if hes hurting!! And its breaking my heart, he is teething his top 2 teeth as coming in. I took him to the pediatrician and well I need to take him back on Wednesday.

If you think it’s a stomach bug no don’t take him to the er and risk giving it to everyone else or him to catch something worse. Only reason at all to go to the emergency room is if he is dehydrated from it. Stomach bugs don’t require a dr visit. If you think it could be something else then ask to be seen again at his regular dr.

I dont know what it might be, that's what in concerned about diarrhea for that long doesnt seem normal to me.. pediatrician did say hes poop doesnt look normal and after taking him off milk doesnt stop the diarrhea she would need to take a stool test to see what's going..
