Hey mommies with 1yr olds, whats your bedtime routine? Do your 1yr olds drink milk out of a bottle or sippy cup to fall asleep? What sippy cup do you give them?

we do sippy cups of milk! we give him either tomme tippe or nuk. 💞
I’ve actually just started a routine with my 17 month old and 5 month old they get baths dressed then baby boy gets his bottle then gets laid down then princess lays in bed with me drinks her bottle and slowly drifts off all by 8 8:30 at the latest
I took the bottle away 2 weeks before he turned one, he gets up cup of milk 5 min before bed, and then hie gets his teeth cleaned, and we lay down and i rub his bsck or his head until he falls asleep.
@damians_mommy we use a sippy until he can learn to drink from the no spill cups. We dont have a certain brand we use.
@ek620, I wish I could rock my son to sleep he doesn’t like it 😅 I usually try to give him milk when it gets close to bed time and brush his teeth and when he gets tired I’ll hold him and walk around with him in my arms until he falls asleep but sometimes he gets upset and wants a bottle
My son would nurse to sleep until he was 14 months. I had to break the habit which is when we started the new routine. It took a few weeks... and they were rough! But now it works like a charm. Bedtime takes 15 minutes tops. But believe me, it took a lot of hard work to get to this place.
Since my son was about 14 months our routine has been: bath, pajamas & brush teeth, read story in rocking chair, lights off and rock for 5-10 mins, then lay him in his crib. We don’t do any milk after his teeth are brushed.
@atyaf01, There were lots of tears. Lots! But after a few days of not giving in, he stopped waking. I offered him water instead. Broke my heart to hear the crying, but I knew he was waking out of habit instead of out of hunger. Breaking that habit was one of the biggest challenges I’ve had with my son. 😅 It was not easy & tugged on all my heartstrings.

How do you slowly ween your baby off of nipple bottles to switch to sippy cups
We still cosleep with my daughter. Around 830pm - 9pm. She drinks milk out of her bottle still about 9oz. Then we brush her teeth. Off to bed we go, she does need her binky. Kisses us goodnight. &’ Then she puts herself to sleep while we go to sleep as well. &’ She is out for the night.
