@bossmamax2 i love the name u picked out. My daughters name is Peyton. Everytime i took her anywhere when she was little ppl would say has HE ever been here b4 and i would say no SHE hasnt. They would say oh im sry i thought simce Peyton Manning. I would say its fine. But as she got older and got more hair they knew she was a girl. I didnt name her Peyton after Peyton Manning. I named her Peyton after the girl on One Tree Hill

I think it is the spelling. I know several little boys named Payton and I have a cousin but her name is Peyton. I think the E is what makes it seem more feminine. There is no right or wrong, though. The only requirement is that you like the name, you believe it fits your baby. It's your decision and your family can get over it.

No one likes the name we picked for our little boy, my MIL even told us she refuses to call him his name and she will call him something else. We dont care though! We love the name we picked and that's what matters. I think the name you picked is a strong name. Just remember it's your baby and no one else should influence how you feel about it
