help! my 2 month old will not sleep in her crib at night & will only sleep in my bed, i pretty much stay up all night keeping an eye on her. Every time she falls asleep on me I immediately put her down in her crib but she just wakes up 2 mins later & starts crying. I’ve tried letting her cry it out for at least 5 mins (she’s too little to let her cry any longer in my opinion) but it doesn’t work, she just screams louder. I’ve tried putting her down drowsy & let her fall asleep on her own but she just wakes up fully. I know cosleeping isn’t safe & if i don’t get her in her crib soon i’m gonna end up with her in my bed forever but idk what to do. any suggestions?

I coslept with my daughter. She sleeps in her bed now. I couldn't handle her screaming in her crib I feared Sids and couldn't leave her to cry. Some moms say let them cry it out, but I never could. so she slept with me and in her Rock N play. It can be tough at times, but now she barely wants to cuddle anymore. They're only little once. It won't be forever that they sleep with you I promise. :)
There are ways to bedshare safely: no blankets, no pillows, not with caregiver who has been using any substances, not against the wall, and not with a caregiver who is a really deep sleeper. (There is much more info about this online; just giving you a few safety guidelines that I remember.)
Many cultures believe in the family bed, as it provides such comfort and nurturing to young ones. There is also research out there indicating that bedsharing helps regulate infants breathing, putting them in sync with mother’s respiration.
But the decision rests with you and what will work for your family. You need to feel comfortable with how your baby sleeps. I wish you luck in your journey to finding peace and sleep with your baby 💜💜
