Ladies... I need your help... every night for a while Noah has slept on me but I want to start him…
Ladies... I need your help... every night for a while Noah has slept on me but I want to start him in his own bed (put him in his cot he cries) tonight we've give him some milk, burped him, changed his bum and we've put him in his bed it's so hard for me to ignore his crying but I'm going to try for 10 minutes... whats your advice?

Stay strong. It gets easier. Much better to get them into their own bed/cot young. Maybe try gently rubbing his tummy if he cries, or just put your hand at the side of his face just so he can feel you’re there. Also have you tried white noise? Or a Ewan the sheep (heart beat noise option was a winner with us)

I've tried alot of things, white noise, my scent (clothes) even if I lye next too him he continues to cry!🙈 (I can't listen to him cry for too long) so I pick him up. But like you said I want to get him used to his bed from an early age! 🤔

10 minutes is too long for his age. Try every couple of minutes to let him know you’re there then build up. He’ll get used to it, it’s all just new to him.

If he has a dummy keep putting it back in his mouth and do the shhhhh’ing sound also if you have white noise app on your phone put that on for a while xxx

I put white noise on the tv. Doesn't help 🙈 he wasn't settling so in the end I let him sleep with me as soon as he was on my chest ASLEEP 😂

When he settles on u and u put him into bed and he starts crying, let him cry for a minute or 2, don't pick him up just touch his hand or stroke his head etc and shhh him. He will get used to it. Don't give up. I did this with Lexi and again with Layla. I put Layla in bed half asleep after bum change, milk and a cuddle and she nods off by herself and sleeps all night and has done since 3/4 weeks xx

Try putting him in the cot awake and having a little play in the day so he gets familiar with it. Is he swaddled? Some people swear by that.
I used to put a water bottle in just to warm up the sheets while baby fed, then remove it when putting baby in, just so their not going from the warmth of your body into a cold bed.
Just keep it up with the white noise and rub his tummy, stroke his face etc...
I'm the same as you I couldn't leave him to cry but I think settling him whilst he lies in he crib is good if you can.

Thank you everyone!! I will try tonight.. need will power.. he slept from 10 - 6 last night but on me 😩 I love cuddles as any mom does but I want him to sleep in his cot will try putting him down in his cot today to sleep in the day xxx
