This is such a tricky situation to be in—and it is one I have grappled with too. I guess, for me, it all boils down to where I would actually enjoy living the most. Moving elsewhere would make more sense financially—as Vancouver is one of the most expensive cities to live in—but it doesn’t make sense in any other way. Family, friends, familiarity, the ocean, mountains, forests, city life, safety, diversity... It’s hard to walk away from all of that. Of course, this is what I feel is best for me, but maybe some of this will resonate for you as well.

Ab is pretty expensive too. My friend lives in st Albert and really likes it. Weather is nice today (7 degrees) and barely any snow.

I moved from Edmonton to b.c almost 5 years ago. My brother is still out there. It's been about -17 and snow up the arse. I'm on the island now and it's not that expensive.
