@lacymcbee1617 you never know I feel ya but my 3rd I stayed 3 for 2 weeks and still labored several hours. Either way well.prayers

My doc was gonna do the first check on the 28th, this month I'll be about 35 weeks, the only reason is bc I get shots every Tuesday, my last baby was preterm at 34w1d for no apparent reason.. but she was healthy!! (:

It depends on each individual doctor and patient
My first they started at 36 weeks even without contractions because I was "underweight" and they thought I'd go early.
With my second. I refused until 38 weeks and only then because I had contractions... She came that night 😂
Its really an outdated practice. Women uswd to get checks every week starting at 30 weeks, thsn research showed that many checks was increasing the risk of the water rupturing early, preterm labor, etc. So now it is up to the doctor to decide based off of what you report your symptoms are. I had my first check at 40 weeks and 1 more at 41w1d when i was then sent to the hospital. He was born 41w3d.

You are early. Your doctor checking can risk the baby to come earlier. I think your doctor did the right thing then. I had preterm at 35 weeks it was really scary. You don’t want to jeopardize early labor
My last baby came on her own at 34w1d. With no contractions, just back pain.. that's why I wanted to be checked. I been hurting for 3 days, bad pain in abdominal and back and pelvic... come to find out I'm 1cm, 70% effaced and she's in the birthing canal at a -1
Bc I wasn't timing my contractions, and they wasn't 5 minutes apart,
Still got a bit to go 1cm isn't much
