Did anyone have the depo shots? How was your experience with it? I got my implant taken out today and I was gonna switch too the IUD but I didn’t want it put it today so they gave me the shot as a substitute until I got it

One time I had to get up to go pee and fall right over! Luckily I missed the table by a couple inches
I had some many problems with Depo shot my body completely shut down! Like it started in my knees and slowly moved to where I couldn't even get up!! It all started 2weeks after I got the shot. I even dropped my child when she was a couple weeks old because my arm just went numb. I know everyone body is different but I like to tell every other mama I know stay away from that shot!
@prettygirlsmommy whole body but those are the parts that was hit the hardest. It was so bad. They thought I had some kind of muscle condition
@prettygirlsmommy by the second month I was having to go to therapy to try and learn how to walk again! That stuff is awful.

No bc is gonna be completely safe they all have side effects but everybody’s body is different

Was great for me didnt gain weight or have a period for 18months when my life went chaotic and I missed taking it then decided something else when I finally got back on something
I was on it from 17 to 22 and it wasn’t too bad for me. The only thing I hated was the random spotting.
Don't do it! I was on it for a year. I was a raging bitch. Super emotional. Headaches daily. The last shot i had they messed something up in my arm. My arm goes numb all the time now. It used to be extremely painful that i couldn't lift it now its fine but still goes numb daily. This was 4 years ago.
The shot causes so many issues. I’ve never heard good things about it. I know it made someone I know gain nearly 80lbs and another one 50lb. Once off of it the one who gained 80 was able to lose weight, 90lbs but took a year. Fertility issues after using is a big one too
Yeah I always hated the shot I only got it until I get my IUD but I don’t really want that anymore either
This is my first and last time getting the shot I think I wanna just give up bc all together
I did one round of it. I spotted for a few weeks. What made me switch though, is it’s not meant for long term use, and heightens risk for osteoporosis.
Did you gain a lot of weight during that one round?
@prettygirlsmommy, I didn’t gain anything, but never do with any form of birth control.
Drop made me super angry, irritable, and suicidal.
