I love Rosie! Rosa is one of my fave names too! I would just tell her that you’ve changed your mind on both names and that you aren’t going to tell anyone the name until she’s born, then just call her Rosie! 🤣 you need to tell her what’s what though- she is not her parent and legally grandparents have no rights to a child so she can shove her opinions up her arse! Xx

My mil said the same with our son and said she would call him junior. I said she could call him whatever she likes he will be raised not to answer to that. She is English and said I had a thing against her calling him Hamish 🙄 I have never been one of those Scottish people that hate the English, I do however love Scottish names but not anything to do with her

Call your child whatever you like it’s nobody else’s business. I personally like Sophia as that is my daughters name but we had a short list of girls names we loved and never told anyone those names as it was nobodies business. Luckily my family and his family agree with this. Rosie is a lovely name too xx

My mil said the same thing with both our boys when we mentioned what names we like. She said I'm never calling him Morgan what kind of a name is that lol. She does and she's over it. End of. It wasn't even a discussion. Your child, your choice lol

@kayteamay it makes me want the name Rosie even more because she doesn't like it 😂 omg the day of your wedding! She got pissed off that I called me second Isabella Rae and Rae had nothing to do with anyone but I loved it.. it just gets me so angry 😐

@emmamarch16th we have Olivia and Isabella so far but I just couldn't get used to the name Sophia 🤨 so gone completely off track with Rosie lol xx

I feel your pain!!!!!!!!!! We planned to call my last daughter Bridget May (my mother name is Bridget and my middle name is May) my mil threw a massive hissy fit that it wasn’t fair we were only using names from my side of the family and insisted we call her Hetty after her mother. She announced this ON THE MORNING OF OUR WEDDING! It caused such a fuss we changed her name completely.

We are having another baby and again is insisting it’s it’s a girl we call her Hetty or a boy will call him Haines after her father. Bare is mind she’s told us having a 4th baby is the biggest mistake we could make and we shouldn’t have even had our third child 🙄

Omg this is so funny, we were thinking of calling our daughter either Olivia, Sophia or Isabella ! We’ve decided on Olivia because my sister is called Sophie so thought it may be too close
