Mommas I’m completely stuck my daughter has acid reflux so bad she spits up out her nose what can I do i sit her up for an hour and a half after eating I also burp her every ounce and she still spits up like crazy I’ve taken her to the doctor they just tell me to space her feedings I also give her formula

My son did this and the hospital put him on zantac for acid reflux, which they hardly do bc meds for babies isnt the best but had/has a very severe case in the nicu. I would most def talk to them about putting her on that! Also we had to switch formula. The most commonly used formula for acid reflux is enfamil ar bc the rice already in it to make it thicker so it wont come back up. We had to switch to gerber soy bc he also had other issues but ive talked to I dont even know how many specialists about it. Sounds like your baby has a severe case as well :( hopefully you find something that works
Have you taken her to a GI?
4oz is a lot for a 1 month old in one sitting, be sure to pace feed her.
Less formula, burp more. Full bellies are bad for reflux babies.
I am pace feeding she eats every 2-3 hrs unless she’s sleeping then she eats when she gets up I give her 2oz then another 2 oz an hour later she’ll be 2 months in a week And I burp every oz
@amommyofone, that’s not really 4 oz every feed as you said above then. Try burping every half ounce. Also speak with a GI about meds. It’s not just milk coming up, it’s also stomach acid which can hurt their esophagus and airway.
My oldest did that I kept bringing her back because it was dangerous and she would do it when I was driving. They put her on a medication until she outgrew it
My daughter did the exact same thing. Scared me because she would choke because it came out both her nose and mouth. When you feed her don’t lay her back, sit her up instead, and keep her sitting up for 30 minutes after eating.

What formula are you giving her? There’s one called enfamil AR it’s supposed to help with spitting up.
They put my daughter on acid reflux meds. It made a massive difference. Then it went away completely after a few months.

I love how I repeatedly told my father in law not to let my daughter root through the toy box because she doesn’t want anything out of it anyway and he keeps picking her up and taking her to the toy box no matter how many times I tell her no and tell him she doesn’t even want anything out of there anyway. My daughter had an issue for the first 6months, she slept in one of those portable rocker things that fold in half bc she had to be kept elevated or she spit up. The have crib wedges too you can try, keeps them from laying flat
