This is my oldest son who is now 6. I came across this picture and my jaw dropped. As a 19 year old ftm (now 2 weeks away from being 26), I was so uneducated on car seat safety and this proves it right here. I wish someone would have told me how dangerous and wrong this was back then. I've definitely come a LONGGG way and have educated myself in areas like this.

I know what you mean!! My oldest is 14 almost 15 now and he was in a sit up car seat and forward facing at 8 months because then it was ok but now I know so much better!!

Being a mom is such a learning experience and I think as long as we learn from our mistakes, we are doing a damn good job! 😊

Yikes! Not your fault, hospitals need to enforce carseat safety on that first ride home.

I have a picture of my oldest slightly over one in a car seat that makes me cringe. I’m glad I know better now.

When I look back at my oldests car seat pics I just thank God that nothing bad ever happened. I did it so wrong.
