Do your research and discuss side effects with your doctor. Then research it again and be absolutely certain it's what you want. I had my tubes tied after this last baby, and it's been rough. My periods are much heavier since. I leak at least once each cycle, which never happened before. I have cramps that start 3 days before I even start bleeding that are darn near debilitating, though they go away a day into the bleeding. I didn't have anything more than a lower back ache that was manageable before this. It is convenient that it's permanent birth control, but I don't think I would have done it if I'd known about the side effects. And yes, it IS reversible, but it's expensive for the reversal and it also isn't guaranteed to be effective/produce more children. Sooo... In conclusion... Be absolutely sure of what you're getting into. I'm 💯 done having kids. But these side effects are crazy.

I had my tubes tied a couple months ago, was slightly uncomfortable but no pain. Was up an around with no problems:) hope all goes good with yours!
